Liu Jianhua’s porcelains

Artist Liu Jianhua has brought his porcelain artworks to town, demonstrating his reinvigoration of the medium through experimental approaches.

Art from Nova Scotia

Colorful paintings by beloved Canadian folk artist Maud Lewis, together with contemporary artworks by six living artists from Nova Scotia, are on display.

Dates: Until March 22

Venue: He Xiangning Art Museum, Nanshan District (南山区何香凝美术馆)

Metro: Line 1 to OCT Station (华侨城站), Exit C

Nanshan Museum

Ancient relics from Henan Museum are on display until April 18. Chinese landscape paintings created by masters in the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) and the early 20th century are also on display until Feb. 9. Volumes from the Yongle Encyclopedia are on display until March 8.

‘Next Nature’

The “Next Nature” exhibition depicts futuristic scenarios that will make an impact on human nature. It showcases the results of some experiments from the Next Nature Network, a Dutch research, design and development network.

‘Fun Palace’

Domestic and international artists are exhibiting interactive installations, videos and photos at the “Fun Palace” exhibition.

Dates: Until Feb. 29

‘Awaken’

The “Awaken: Royal Jewelry Arts From the Renaissance to the 20th Century” exhibition features more than 160 pieces of jewelry once used by the royal families of European and Asian countries.

Dates: Until March 1

Venue: Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning, Futian District (福田区深圳市当代艺术与城市规划馆)
