A man works to clear volcanic ash from the eruption of the Taal volcano from the roof of his house in Buso Buso in the Philippine province of Batangas, on Monday. Residents of Buso Buso are allowed past police and military checkpoints for certain hours each morning to check on their homes and make repairs, before returning to evacuation centers in the surrounding areas.
