Alcohol restriction

HKMTR Shenzhen, the operator of Line 4, seized 1,186 bottles of disinfectant from passengers in the week between Feb. 17 and 24.

The operator reminds riders not to take alcohol products on board as they pose a risk to safety. With the return to work across the city, the ridership on Line 4 has increased to about 130,000 passenger trips per day on average.

Forty people were advised to wear masks as they were taking trains last week.

Punishment exemption

DRIVERS who parked illegally at 99 roads in the city will be exempt from penalties. The enforcement of closed management and restricting alien vehicles from entering workplaces and housing estates led to illegal parking on roads. Workplaces and housing estates can apply for a road parking permit for vehicles by calling 0755-83333333.

Adviser for prevention

ZHONG NANSHAN, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and well-known medical expert in respiratory diseases, has been hired as chief adviser of Foxconn Technology Group to oversee COVID-19 prevention and control and work resumption.

Foxconn has adjusted its production line and has been producing masks since Feb. 5. Its capacity will reach 2 million a day by tomorrow.
