Cold air

THE Shenzhen Meteorological Bureau said that temperatures will drop in the city as a cold front brings temperatures to 18-23 degrees Celsius today. Tomorrow will see a low of 16 degrees Celsius with the weather warming up Thursday and Friday.

Visitors surge

AS of 5 p.m. Sunday, visitor volume at the city’s parks surged to 310,000 during the weekend, compared with 150,000 last weekend.

Blossoming flowers decorate the parks. However, the city’s park administration reminds visitors to “not be eager” to go to parks as COVID-19 persists. People can view the flowers on the “美丽深圳” WeChat account (ID: mlszgzh) from home.

Metro station closed

EXIT C of Huangmugang Station in Metro Line 7 which leads to the Shenzhen No. 2 People’s Hospital has been closed since yesterday due to construction on the Huangmugang Transport Hub. The construction is estimated to complete Dec. 31, a source from the Shenzhen Metro Group said.

During this time, exits A, B and D are still in use. An elevator is also still in operation at Exit B.

Dump truck inspection

SHENZHEN traffic police commenced a strict campaign against dump truck violations starting yesterday. Dump trucks on Shenzhen roads are required to reduce speed and drive in the right-side lane, sources from the Shenzhen traffic police bureau said.

Dump truck drivers are asked to register their vehicles via the Shenzhen vehicle registration system, otherwise they will be stopped by police until registration done.
