School reopens for 1m students in Guizhou
    2020-03-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A Grade 9 student of a junior high school in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China’s Guizhou Province, answers a question in class yesterday. Nearly 1 million students in their final year of senior and junior high schools in Guizhou attended class after a prolonged Lunar New Year festival due to the coronavirus outbreak. According to the provincial education department, over 2,400 high schools reopened yesterday, involving more than 990,000 students, as coronavirus restrictions have been greatly eased in the province. Guizhou has seen no new confirmed cases of novel coronavirus disease for nearly a month, and the province’s last COVID-19 patient was discharged yesterday.          Xinhua
