A FOOTBRIDGE connecting Dachong area and the Shahe West ecological corridor in Nanshan District is expected to be ready by the end of this year, according to Xue Xiaojing, an official of Nanshan District Bureau of Public Works.
The design plan of the footbridge has been approved as “feasible.” It is reported that the footbridge spans about 113 meters and will cross Shahe West Road. The footbridge will cut travel times, offering greater convenience for residents, said Shekou News.
Another 39.5-meter footbridge located at the intersection between the south end of Shenyun Road and Qiaoxiang Road will be evaluated for a decision in July.
Additionally, a footbridge in the shape of a “Y” is being constructed at the intersection of Dongbin Road and Nanshan Boulevard. The project will benefit residents near Nanshan Park and Lilin Metro station. The project will be finished in August.
The construction of another footbridge located next to the Party school bus station on Dongbin Road is also scheduled to be finished in August. (Wang Jingli) |
