THE opening of Bantian-Yinhu Passage has already helped relieve vehicle flow via Meilin and Qingping checkpoints during the morning and evening rush hours, according to statistics from the first two days of operation by the city’s traffic police bureau. During Tuesday evening’s rush hours, outbound vehicles from Meilin and Qingping checkpoints dropped by 51.15 percent compared to the previous week, while inbound vehicles dropped 17.76 percent to 13,881 vehicles.
