Health report required for students to return to campus
    2020-05-06  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SENIOR and junior high school students in Shenzhen, except for those in their final year together with grade 4 to 6 pupils and teachers, can now file a health report through the “深i您” mini program in WeChat to return to schools while the procedure for students and teachers of grades 1 to 3 will be available Saturday.

The information collection is required by the Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau to ensure the safety of students and faculty and to avoid the risk of a second wave of the COVID-19 epidemic.

Students do not have to file the report for a second time if there are no changes to the information they reported previously, according to the Municipal Education Bureau.

Foreign teaching faulty and the children of foreigners will file a paper health report instead of using the mini program.

The 2020 graduates of Shenzhen Polytechnic will return to campus starting May 11. The campus set face-to-face teaching plans mainly for students who will graduate this summer while students in other years will continue learning from home.

Under these circumstances, teachers have been encouraged to combine teaching tasks and to arrange lessons suitable for online teaching to be utilized in the spring term and to move all lessons required for offline practices to be conducted in the fall term, according to a Shenzhen Economic Daily report.

Two other universities in the city have also announced a time for students to return to campus.

Shenzhen Technology University will start face-to-face teaching for all of their students May 18.

Southern University of Science and Technology arranged their postgraduate students, senior undergraduate students and those who applied for a delay of their graduation to begin offline lessons May 14.

Harbin Institute of Technology, Shenzhen has been working with 356 fresh graduates as to their plans after their summer graduation and provided guidance accordingly.

Shenzhen University required all faulty to be back to work today. Most universities in the city have had prevention measures in place and have conducted demonstrations of epidemic control since the middle of April, said the report.  (Wang Jingli)
