A HELICOPTER was dispatched to help transport a woman injured in a car accident to the hospital Monday with the help of Shenzhen traffic police, the Southern Metropolis Daily reported. It was said that two cars collided on Heao Expressway on Monday afternoon, causing a heavy traffic jam on the highway. A female passenger in one of the cars was reported to be experiencing dizziness, nausea, and vomiting after the accident. Shenzhen traffic police immediately ordered a medical team to the site for emergency response. After a check, medical staff observed that the woman had suffered a brain injury and suggested a quick transport to the hospital for treatment. Then a helicopter, operated by Ping An Property Insurance, was dispatched to transport the woman from Heao Expressway to the Seventh Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University in less than 10 minutes, said the report. The quick rescue saved time for the patient and her situation is now stable after receiving treatment, according to the report. The Shenzhen Municipal Traffic Police Bureau has established a long-term cooperation with Ping An Property Insurance in road rescue and patrol during holidays to handle emergency cases.
