Fire put out

A FIRE has been put out at the Simadi House, an important heritage site under State protection located in Furong Village of Yongjia County in East China’s Zhejiang Province, local authorities said yesterday. The fire broke out in the early hours of Monday.

Quake hits Xinjiang

A 5.0-MAGNITUDE earthquake jolted Wuqia County of Kizilsu Prefecture in Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, at 6:51 p.m. yesterday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center. No casualties or damage to property were reported.
