THE trains running on Shenzhen’s Metro Line 14, which is now under construction, will be driverless when the line is put into operation in 2022. With a maximum design speed of 120 kilometers per hour, the 50.34-km rail linking Gangxiabei Transport Hub in Futian CBD and Shatian Station in Pingshan will be the city’s first Metro line that adopts automated technologies, according to Shenzhen Metro Group.
