New school

CONSTRUCTION of Shenzhen Foreign Languages School’s Longgang international department was completed April 30 as planned.

The school, covering an area of more than 50,000 square meters, will provide 1,200 school seats for K12 (kindergarten through 12th grade) students.

High-rise heist

A MAN was recently caught by Luohu police for stealing an over-100-carat diamond and 4,000-yuan (US$563) cash from a resident’s home.

The man entered the apartment through the balcony by climbing down the gas pipe from the 30th floor to the 24th floor, where the diamond and cash were located, said the police.
