No contest 无异议
    2020-05-26  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A: Who would win in a fight between Batman and Superman?

B: Superman, no contest.

Note: This expression is mainly found in the United States, and is perhaps influenced by the plea of nolo contendere (I do not wish to contend) in U.S. law, meaning that the defendant in a criminal prosecution accepts conviction but does not admit guilt. Figuratively it describes a situation in which one side is overwhelmingly more likely to succeed over the other; that is, there is no doubt that one side will win. For example: Everyone assumed it was no contest that Robertson would win, given his size, experience and ability. Yet against all odds, Ramirez defeated him in the final seconds of the match.
