SZ ranks 1st in e-government performance
    2020-05-28  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE city’s e-government performance ranked first out of 32 key cities in the country this year, according to a survey on e-government performance of key provincial governments and cities (2020) published recently.

Shenzhen also topped the list last year, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported.

It is reported that this year’s review on government online administrative services was based on five aspects: performance of online services, efficiency of online services, diversity of service methods, coverage of service items and accuracy of service guidance.

Of the five criteria, Shenzhen ranked first in diversity of services, second in efficiency of online services and coverage of service items, and third in accuracy of service guidance.

The review was conducted by the e-government research center of the National Academy of Governance entrusted by the State Council.

Shenzhen also earned another first-prize for its e-government performance and reform of administrative services.

Shenzhen topped the list of government affairs service index in a business environment report (2019) organized by the National Development and Reform Commission.

In addition, Shenzhen ranked first in a review on the development level of Chinese smart cities conducted by Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

The Shenzhen Municipal Government’s web portal took first place among all subprovincial cities last year.

The “i深圳” platform, Shenzhen’s government affairs service application, was selected by China Academy of Information and Communications Technology as one of the 10 models of new-type smart city last year.

Shenzhen has been promoting its online administrative service capability by speeding up the building of the digital government over recent years. Some 94 percent of administrative affairs can be handled online.

Fast-approved service is made available for 212 government affairs. Over 95 percent of personal administrative affairs and more than 70 percent of legal person issues can be done through online platforms. The “i深圳” app has over 9 million registered users, according to the report.

Staff with the Shenzhen Municipal Government Services Data Bureau said that the city will continue to build a world-class smart city and digital government so as to promote business environment and increase public satisfaction.                                                                                                     (Wang Jingli)
