A RENOVATION project on the sewage pipe that runs between Fuqiang and Furong roads in Futian District is complete and has recently been put into use, Shenzhen Evening News reported.

The project, which was managed by Shenzhen Water Group and China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Co. Ltd., extended the pipe by 580 meters and has seven check stations to reduce impacts on the environment.

A special team was established to ensure a highly efficient operation of the project amid the COVID-19 epidemic.

The project has reduced the workload on the west sewage pipe of the Xinzhou River and improved the whole sewage pipe network on Xinzhou Road to boost economic development in the district.

At present, the sewage pipe is in use and has shown normal readings in each index, said the report. (Wang Jingli)
