Subsidies for e-cars

BUYERS of electric cars and hybrid cars (dually powered by gasoline and electricity) who have a valid residence permit in Shenzhen without a Shenzhen hukou can get subsidies of 20,000 yuan (US$2,827) and 10,000 yuan, respectively, according to a notice released by Shenzhen Municipal Development and Reform Commission recently.

Foreigners with residence permits, Hong Kong and Macao residents who have entry permits can enjoy the subsidy.

The policy is aimed to stimulate purchases and mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on the economy.

New energy vehicles also enjoy free roadside parking for two hours a day.

The subsidy and free-parking policy is effective until the end of the year.

Physical test

THE physical tests for 2020 high school entrance examinations started Wednesday in Futian, Longhua, Guangming and Nanshan districts. The first batch of 4,000 students participated in the test at 15 examination venues.

The test will last until June 25. The swimming test will be held at the Affiliated High School of Shenzhen University on June 24.
