PRINCE William Preschool (PWP) in Futian District and Merchiston International School (MIS) in Longhua District signed a strategic cooperation agreement yesterday morning to enable a preferential admission policy.

Under the cooperation framework, graduates from PWP will get preferential admission into MIS.

Sharing the same education concepts, the two international schools joined hands and pledged to jointly provide children in Shenzhen a comprehensive British education covering children from kindergarten to senior high school.

“The rationale behind the cooperation is that we want to give our graduates a chance to continue a British education and to become independent and excellent persons,” said Captain Lin, president and founder of PWP, adding that they will organize open day activities to let parents know more about MIS.

Simon Lambert, operations director from MIS, said at the ceremony held in PWP that they are delighted to start the cooperation with PWP and look forward to a long-lasting relationship to enable students to continue their education journey in the British Education system.

When asked about the advantages of British education for Chinese kids, Lambert said that the British education provides programs to teach student to think independently and critically.
