Metro service

SERVICE on Metro Line 3 will end earlier than usual, at 9 p.m., on Saturdays and Sundays between July 11 and Aug. 2 in preparation of the opening of new lines.

Residents are advised to take public buses during the affected periods. The operator will offer a bus service.

Free first-aid training

A CHARITY first-aid training program was launched recently to provide 25,000 people free training. Citizens over 16 years old can go to the official WeChat account of Shenzhen first-aid center (WeChat ID: shenzhen-120) to make a booking.

The free training started Monday and will be held until Oct. 31. Program includes CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training, operation of AEDs (automated external defibrillators) and wound care.

Shared bikes

THE introduction of Hello Bike to designated places in cities like Shenzhen, Lanzhou and Harbin has reached 98 percent, an executive of Hello Bike said at a forum in Shanghai on Tuesday.

The company has adopted the BeiDou positioning system to solve the problem of random parking. So far, Hello Bikes have seen a growing popularity in more than 100 cities.
