Ukiyo-e

Delicately hued and intricate Japanese ukiyo-e prints are on display until Aug. 9. Visitors are required to book their visit in advance on the museum’s WeChat “nanshanmuseum.”

‘Awaken’

The “Awaken: Royal Jewelry Arts From the Renaissance to the 20th Century” exhibition (99 yuan), running until July 19, features 160 pieces of jewelry once used by the royal families of European and Asian countries.

Venue: Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning, Futian District (福田区深圳市当代艺术与城市规划馆)

‘Chinese Diaspora’

Photos taken by Hong Kong-born photographer Pok Chi Lau in the past 50 years are on display at the “Chinese Diaspora” exhibition until Aug. 30.

Bologna illustrations

“Bologna Illustrators Exhibition China Tour and Scarry’s 100th Birthday Exhibition” (88 yuan) features 387 illustrations created by 81 international illustrators and original drafts by U.S. children’s author and illustrator Richard McClure Scarry. The exhibition runs until July 26.

‘Cosmos’

The “Cosmos” exhibition (88 yuan), running until Sept. 20, re-creates interactive scenes based on concepts or hidden physical laws found by scientists like Albert Einstein, Felix Klein, David Hilbert, Hendrik Lorentz, Erwin Schrodinger and Stephen Hawking.

Lacquer craftworks

Carved lacquer craftworks made by Man Jianmin from Beijing are on display until Aug. 10.
