Nanshan Museum

A Three Kingdoms-themed exhibition, with more than 170 pieces of precious cultural relics provided by 36 museums around China, is being held until Oct. 14. Visitors are required to book their visit on the museum’s WeChat “nanshanmuseum.”

Shenzhen Museum

“The Splendor of Southeast China: Leifeng Pagoda and Buddhist Art of Wuyue State,” running until Oct. 11, features 78 pieces/sets of Wuyue State (907-978) relics. Meanwhile, animal skeletons and ape man skulls, models and description videos are also on display to present the 500-million-year vertebrate evolution until Oct. 17. Entry is free. Follow WeChat account “iszbwg” and then follow menu instructions to book your visit.

He Xiangning Art Museum

In the “Life Fantasia” exhibition, visitors can admire the manuscripts and celluloid of classic animations. The “Rendezvous at the Pinewood Courtyard” exhibition features paintings and calligraphic works by social activist He Xiangning (1878-1972) and educator Jing Hengyi (1877-1938).

Dates: Until Sept. 6

Pingshan Art Museum

Contemporary artworks created by British artist John Akomfrah, Singaporean artist Ho Tzu Nyen, U.S. visual artist Rachel Rose and Chinese artists Yang Fudong, Zheng Guogu, Chu Bingchao, Duan Jianyu, Fang Di, Gong Jian and Birdhead are on display at the “Muses, Yugong and Compasses” exhibition until Aug. 30. Follow WeChat account “PingshanArtMuseum” and then book your visit.

Venue: Pingshan Art Museum, Huide Road, Pingshan District (坪山区汇德路坪山美术馆)

Transport: Take the high-speed rail from Futian Station or Shenzhen North Station to Pingshan Station and then take a taxi
