Couple ridiculed for ‘unoriginal’ Disney proposal
    2020-09-17  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

WHEN it comes to romance, some people love grand gestures, while others prefer to keep things sweet and subtle.

There are a number of people out there whose idea of the perfect proposal involves their partner getting down on one knee in front of a Disney castle — be it in Disneyworld or Disneyland.

And this does happen regularly, so regularly in fact that some people are getting bored of seeing it.

As a result, a photo of a man proposing to his girlfriend at Sleeping Beauty’s castle in Disneyland, California, the U.S., has been ridiculed on social media for being “unoriginal” and “cheesy.”

This is because of a particular detail viewers spotted in the background of the image.

People soon realized that behind the couple’s proposal, another man was getting down on one knee to pop the big question to his partner as well.

A double proposal! Is this the ultimate photobomb?

It’s not clear when the picture was taken, but it was recently shared in the Facebook group “That’s It I’m Proposal Shaming” where more than 2,000 people have reacted to it so far.

One person wrote: “When you get the prime spot so the guy at the back has to propose by a bench.”

Another said: “If someone else is proposing in the same area as you at the exact same time as you, that’s your clue that your idea is completely unoriginal.”

Someone else commented: “If you’re gonna get engaged at Disney at least pick somewhere not so common lol.”
