AEDs in parks

SHENZHEN Park Service has stationed 15 sets of emergency AEDs (automated external defibrillators) in six city-level parks including Lianhua Hill Park and Litchi Park, and has organized trainings to help people in emergencies.

This is the first time that AEDs have been introduced in Shenzhen parks.

Dump truck accidents

SHENZHEN reported 102 traffic accidents relating to dump trucks in the first half of September, among which dump trucks were fully responsible for 67 accidents, or 65 percent of the total.

The accidents primarily happened in Bao’an, Longgang and Longhua districts, police said.

Traffic police also released the names of the 10 dump truck companies with the most violations.

Counterfeit capacitors

HUANGGANG Customs seized 2.37 million capacitors marked for export that infringed on legal trademarks recently.

In terms of number, this is the largest seizure of commodities involving infringement of intellectual property rights by Shenzhen Customs so far this year, according to a release by Shenzhen Customs last week.

New facilities

LONGGANG initiated construction of eight sports and cultural facilities, most of which are located in subdistricts like Longgang, Henggang and Buji.

The eight projects will cost 6.3 billion yuan (US$931.8 million).
