Beach cleanup

A ONE-MONTH beach cleanup activity was initiated Saturday.

A total of 26 sites have been set up along the city’s 260.5 kilometers of coastal shoreline to promote beach waste reduction.

Biodiversity report

A BIODIVERSITY report with 1,889 effective observation records in Dapeng New Area was released recently.

The report presents information on 18 natural habitats in Dapeng including 10 land areas and eight oceanic and coastal areas, offering a scientific basis for protection activities.

Air quality

SHENZHEN’S air quality index from January to August ranked fourth among 168 key cities in China, according to a report released by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.

The city’s PM2.5 density in the first seven months was 16.9 micrograms per cubic meter, the best record reported for the same period in the city’s history, Shenzhen Evening News reported.

Protected areas

TWO parks in Shenzhen, Futian Mangrove Ecological Park and OCT Wetland Park, have been included on the list of 2020 civil protected areas among a total of 51 land areas across the country, according to Shenzhen Economic Daily.

Housing price

SHENZHEN will create a mechanism to guide pre-owned housing prices and will regularly release reasonable transaction prices of commercial real estate projects.

Fines will be issued to platforms releasing housing prices higher than actual transaction prices and they will be suspended from operation, according to Shenzhen Special Zone Daily.
