LIONSGATE is pushing back the release of the star-driven titles “Fatale” and “Voyagers” from this fall to 2021 amid the ongoing novel coronavirus pandemic. The studio has moved “Fatale,” the Hilary Swank and Michael Ealy-starring noir thriller from “The Intruder” director Deon Taylor, to next year, likely in the first quarter of 2021. The thriller about a married man (Ealy) who is tricked into a murder scheme by a seductive woman (Swank) with whom he had a one-night stand was originally set for an Oct. 30 release. And “Voyagers,” the YA sci-fi thriller from director Neil Burger (“Divergent”) that stars Colin Farrell, is also delayed from Nov. 25 to next year amid the challenges at the local multiplex. Lionsgate is following other Hollywood studios in announcing a raft of release date changes of high-profile films, or pushing the titles online, amid the coronavirus pandemic. (SD-Agencies) |
