New bus routes operating to connect with airport
    2020-10-14  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

SHENZHEN opened six new bus routes running between Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport and key places in the city, as well as three new airport-connecting lines yesterday, according to the municipal transport management bureau.

The routes include: Line A1 (airport to Hualian Building in Futian), Line A2 (airport to Shenzhen North Railway Station), Line A4 (airport to the Longgang satellite check-in area), Line A5 (airport to Pingshan Yanzi Lake international convention and exhibition center), Line A7 (airport to Shawan bus station in Longgang) and Line NA1 (airport to Hualian Building in Futian).

Line NA1 will operate until the last flight lands. Line A2, A4, and A5 will operate into the early morning.

The three new connection lines are Line M590 (from the airport station to the airport terminal), Line M591 (Qigangshan Garden circular line), and Line M592 (Ping’anju housing estate circular line).

The Airport Line 1 (330), Airport Line 2 (330B), Airport Line 3 (330C) and Airport Line 4 (330D) have all ceased operations starting yesterday.

Four more bus routes including Line A3, A6, NA3 and NA6 will open to connect Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint and the satellite check-in area in Guangming, according to the bureau.

In another development, with a new flight procedure for landing northward on the west runway of the airport officially effective starting Oct. 8, the impact of aircraft noise on densely populated areas in Bao’an and Nanshan districts will be reduced, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported.

The procedure, referred to as RNP-AR, uses the world’s most advanced satellite-based navigation technology to change plane operations, such as rapid decent and large-angle north turn, which will now be performed over non-residential areas at the west side of the airport so as to reduce noise in residential areas. Previously it was done over Shekou and Bao’an center. (Wang Jingli)
