‘Futurology of Art’

The “Futurology of Art” exhibition running until Dec. 15 features installations by 27 Chinese artists in a variety of media, such as 3-D animation, robotics, laser and physics. The exhibition is divided into three sections: “Space and Humans,” “Post-Human Myths” and “Human-Machine Integration.” Entry is free.

Venue: Art Gallery of Guangming Culture and Art Center, Guanguang Road, Guangming District (光明区观光路光明文化艺术中心美术馆)

C Future Lab

Let’s explore the future at C Future Lab’s “An Experiment of Future City” exhibition (128 yuan) running until March 31, 2021. Visitors can browse more than 100 past designs and projects by the Stockholm Design Lab created from 1998 to 2019. Artworks fall into categories such as airplanes, infrastructure, alcohol, sports, cars, etc. The exhibits are dotted with site-specific new media artworks, such as French botanist Patrick Blanc’s “The Jungle Dragon Dance” and industrial designer Ross Lovegrove’s “The Cell.”

Hours: 1:30-9:30 p.m. (Tue.-Fri.), 10 a.m.-9:30 p.m. (Sat.-Sun., holidays)

‘NIAO x KUN x TONG’

In artist Tong Kunniao’s solo exhibition “NIAO x KUN x TONG” (68 yuan), running until Nov. 1, Tong presents new kinetic sculptures, paintings and mixed-media installations, paired with his eccentric, mechanical object performances.

Venue: Jupiter Museum of Art, 6 Lanhua Road, Futian District (福田区蓝花道6号木星美术馆)

‘Chinese Diaspora’

Photos taken by Hong Kong-born photographer Pok Chi Lau in the past 50 years are on display at the “Chinese Diaspora” exhibition until Oct. 30.

Venue: Yuezhong Museum of Historical Images, Luohu District (罗湖区越众历史影像馆)
