Organizers to accept Olympics ticket refund applications
    2020-11-13  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

FANS living in Japan who bought tickets for the postponed Tokyo Olympics can start applying online for refunds from Nov. 10, organizers said Wednesday.

Ticket holders can apply for Olympics refunds until Nov. 30, while the Paralympics refund application opens Dec. 1 and lasts through Dec. 21. The organizers said there has been no noticeable congestion or trouble on their website so far.

According to the refund policy, only tickets purchased on the official website can be accepted, while it does not apply to fans who have purchased tickets outside Japan through so-called Authorized Ticket Resellers appointed by national Olympic committees. Many have already set terms for refunds, which vary by nation or territory. The refunds will be issued late December for Olympics tickets and mid-January next year for the Paralympics.

The organizing committee has sold 4.48 million tickets for the Olympics, and 970,000 tickets for the Paralympics.(CGTN)
