Shenzhen Museum

Specimens of colorful butterflies and other insects are on display at an exhibition until Jan. 10, 2021. Meanwhile, finely printed and revised ancient books dating back to the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368) are also on display until Dec. 6. Entry is free and visitors are required to book on the WeChat account “iszbwg.”

Nanshan Museum

A Three Kingdoms-themed exhibition, running until Saturday, showcases more than 170 pieces of relics provided by 36 museums around China. Cultural relics from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Museum are also on display until Nov. 29. Porcelains from Jingdezhen are on display until Nov. 22. Book your visit on the museum’s WeChat “nanshanmuseum.”

‘Home by Lou River’

Landscape paintings by the Four Wangs and other masters of the Loudong style are on display at the “Home by Lou River — From Four Wangs to Modern Loudong Special Exhibition” until Nov. 20. Follow the WeChat account “hxnartmuseum” to book your visit.

‘Roles in Life’

“Roles in Life,” an exhibition by Thai artist Kitti Narod, is being presented at the We Gallery until Nov. 30. Visitors should book their visit on the gallery’s WeChat account “we-gallery86155405.”

Light show

Twelve light installations are dotting the centuries-old Dawan Ancestral Residence for the “Chant for the Luminosity” show. Entry is free. The Dawan Ancestral Residence in Pingshan District is one of the biggest Hakka compounds in China. It was built by the Zeng family in 1791.

Dates: Until Nov. 30

Hours: 9 a.m.-9 p.m., closed Mondays

Venue: Dawan Ancestral Residence, Pingshan District (坪山区大万世居)

Transport: Take the high-speed rail from Futian Station or Shenzhen North Station to Pingshan Station and then take a taxi(SD News)
