5G development

CHINA has built nearly 700,000 5G base stations, more than twice the total installation in the rest of the world, official data showed.

The number of terminal devices connected to the network has exceeded 180 million, as well-developed infrastructure facilitates more 5G-based applications, said Liu Liehong, vice minister of industry and information technology.

In the next three years, the country is expected to be at the introduction stage of 5G development, so it is necessary to make proactive moves in construction.

Sales surge

CHINA’S excavator producers reported strong sales performance in October, sustaining the growth momentum of previous months, industry data showed.

China’s 25 leading excavator makers sold 27,331 excavators last month, surging 60.5 percent year on year, according to the China Construction Machinery Association.

In a breakdown, 23,892 excavators were sold in the domestic market, up 60.7 percent from a year ago while the equipment’s exports jumped 59.4 percent year on year to 3,439 during the same period.

Steady growth

CHINA’S only policy-oriented insurer specializing in export credit insurance reported steady business growth in the January-October period.

The China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation, also known as SINOSURE, served over 143,000 clients, increasing 27 percent year on year in the past 10 months.

During the January-October period, the company had underwritten over US$564.8 billion worth of insured businesses.
