Footbridge slope

BAO’AN District Transport Bureau has applied a new design to widen the ramps of Xinqiao Footbridge for riders to push up and down their e-bikes. The slopes in blue take half the width of the ramp and separate the flow of nonmotor vehicles from pedestrians.

It will be tested on other footbridges over the 107 National Highway.

Lands sold

SHENZHEN auctioned eight parcels of land for a total of 33.98 billion yuan (US$5.16 billion) at an auction Monday.

The land parcels in Xixiang, Guangming, Dalang, Pingshan and Shajing attracted more than 20 housing developers from across the country.

Courier violations

SHENZHEN traffic police have handled over 80,000 e-bike related violations in the courier and food delivery industry so far this year

Most violations were illegally using motorist lanes and going through red lights.

Intercity rail

WORK on the Shenzhen section of Shenzhen-Huizhou Intercity Rail and its spur line in Dapeng, Shenzhen-Shenshan Intercity Rail, Qianhai-Huanggang Checkpoint section of Guangzhou-Dongguan-Shenzhen Intercity Rail will start this year and be completed before the end of 2024, according to a report by the Shenzhen Public Resources Exchange Center.
