Zhang Yu JeniZhang13@163.com THE Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) warned yesterday that the risk for norovirus infections will be high in the coming week. Kindergartens, primary and secondary schools are classified as having a high incidence rate of norovirus infections. GII.2 remains to be the dominant norovirus strain, which is consistent with that of previous years. No obvious strain variation has been found. Epidemic monitoring results show that 10 clusters of norovirus infections were reported in Shenzhen from Sept. 1 to Sunday. Five of them involved 20 cases or more, higher than the level of the same period in previous years. |
