Phone LCDs

SHENZHEN Customs seized liquefied crystal displays (LCDs) for mobile phones worth 5 million yuan (US$760,000) at Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint recently.

The products, in 260,000 pieces, were declared to customs for import under the name of phone glass Oct. 29. But sample tests later showed they were phone LCDs.

Road upgrading

THE upgrading of Jichang Road South in Hangcheng Subdistrict, Bao’an District, will soon be completed.

The 4.5-kilometer road links Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport with the rest of the city. It will have six lanes on the main road and four lanes on auxiliary roads.
