THE Shenzhen Bougainvillea Show is being held in Lianhua Hill Park in Futian District, and it is the largest scale it has ever been.

The annual event, which will end Dec. 18, has an exhibition area of 200,000 square meters, with more than 230 types of bougainvilleas and over 200,000 featured flowers of other categories.

The total of 12 districts and areas in the city, including Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone, created 12 themed gardens for the flower show, with each garden covering around 300 square meters.

Moreover, nearly 200 potted bougainvilleas of more than 230 types are being displayed at the exquisite garden in the park.

The garden was used as the park’s flower bed. After the show, the garden will open to the public for good, according to the city’s park service center.

Apart from admiring beautiful flowers, citizens also have the chance to shop for flowers, potted plants, flower seeds, flower fertilizers and other horticulture products as there is a small flower fair, with 27 booths, held in the park at the same time.

In the flower fair area, there are also nine booths selling cultural products and providing catering services.

Two music flash mobs will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the Lianhua Hill square and Xifengzheng square respectively.

In addition, music concerts will be performed Dec. 12 and 13.

Residents are advised to take preventative measures when coming to the park, given the COVID-19 pandemic, and also to make use of public transportation.

Closest Metro stations to the park include Children’s Palace Station on Metro lines 3 and 4, and Lianhua West Station on Metro Line 2.
