Murals recreated

Paintings which are based on murals in the caves along the ancient Silk Road are on display at the “From Dunhuang to Gaochang” exhibition (118 yuan) until Feb. 15.

Venue: 4/F, KK Mall, Luohu District (罗湖区KK Mall四楼)

Sea World

The “Fashioned From Nature” exhibition (98 yuan), together with a Chinese section, “Fashioned From Nature in China: Then and Now,” presents nearly 400 garments and accessories going back centuries. The exhibition, running until June 6, showcases items from the V&A’s and the China National Silk Museum’s extensive collections as well as international loans. Meanwhile, artist duo A.A Murakami is holding a free exhibition until April 18.

Ryoichi Kurokawa’s art

Japanese artist Ryoichi Kurokawa is exhibiting his latest multimedia installation “s.asmbli[wall]” until Feb. 28. Images and videos of forests and architectural ruins are projected onto a huge box-like installation which is surrounded by an array of giant mirrors. It’s worth your lingering there for a few minutes to get immersed in it.

Venue: C2 Space, North Area, OCT-LOFT, Nanshan District (南山区华侨城创意文化园北区C2展厅)

Guan Shanyue Art Museum

Master Guan Shanyue’s paintings of murals in the Mogao Caves and the landscape in Northwest China are on display until June 26. Meanwhile, Han Meilin’s diverse artworks imbued with poetic elegance and innovative artistic language are also on display until Jan. 10. Follow the WeChat account “gsyart” to book your visit.

‘Boundaries Ahead’

Ten art installations from “Boundaries Ahead: OH Bay Art Project” are on display until March 28 to imbue more cultural and art elements into the coastal area. Created by domestic and international artists and architects, the artworks together with four giant landscape structures are scattered by the sea.

Venue: Coastal Cultural Park, OH Bay, Bao’an District (宝安区欢乐港湾海滨文化公园)
