SHENZHEN’S first AI-powered food center opened in Qianhai on Friday.

The center provides more than 150 kinds of cooked foods to customers every day including Cantonese breakfast, Western food, classic Chinese dishes and exquisite desserts.

Customers can choose dishes according to their preference. Each plate has its own intelligent chip in the center, which can intelligently weigh and calculate foods by grams. Even a piece of peanut or tofu can be calculated.

The center is expected to reduce 85 to 90 percent of wasted food material.

By binding the WeChat account to the food center, customers can upload their recipes and check their nutritional intake, including sugar and calories.
