LONGHUA District is set to launch 106 festival-themed cultural activities and give out tens of thousands of consumer coupons to encourage residents to stay in the city for the forthcoming Spring Festival holiday, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported.

“As a public servant, I am going to spend the holiday in Longhua with my family to answer the call to stay put in the city,” a citizen surnamed Luo, who resides in Minzhi Subdistrict, told the Daily.

Longhua is offering free tickets to the cinema and health lectures. It will also give out 10,000 movie gift cards and coupons for dining and adventure experiences such as equestrian activities and shooting, wind cave exploration and rock climbing.

Meanwhile, public cultural venues and facilities in Longhua including museums, libraries, the printmaking base (museum) in Guanlan, the Memorial Hall of Chinese Cultural Celebrity Rescue and Shenzhen Book City Longhua Store will remain open during the holiday.

The service centers in the district have rolled out 10 festival-themed events for those who would like to spend the holiday in Shenzhen. Residents can pick up New Year lucky bags both online and offline at the service center in each community.

The 106 cultural events under five themes will be mainly held online by the district this Spring Festival holiday.
