Land for 3 new landmarks approved
    2021-03-03  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE Shenzhen Municipal Planning and Natural Resources Bureau disclosed Monday that the land for the construction of three new cultural venues in the city has been approved.

Two of the cultural facilities, including the Shenzhen Creative Design Hall and the Shenzhen Tech Life Museum, will be located within the Shenzhen Bay Culture Park in the Houhai area in Nanshan District.

The land allocated for the use of cultural and sports facilities in the culture park covers an area of 50,899.24 square meters.

The Shenzhen Bay Culture Park is situated in the central area of Houhai, with Chuangye Road as the axis. It is also adjacent to Shenzhen Talent Park’s shoreline.

The park will be divided into three areas, including Block A where the Shenzhen Creative Design Hall and the Shenzhen Tech Life Museum will be located, and Block B and C for businesses.

The other new cultural landmark, the Shenzhen Nature Museum, will be located in the core area of the Yanzi Lake area in Pingshan District in eastern Shenzhen, with 42,005.53 square meters of land allocated.

The museum aims to become a collection center of natural relics, an exhibition center of natural specimens, a research center of natural science as well as an education center of science popularization.

The construction of the three cultural venues will be supervised by the city’s culture, radio, television, tourism and sports bureau. (Zhang Yu)
