Tourists enjoy the view during a ride on the “Bay Glory” Ferris wheel in Bao’an District yesterday, when the facility officially opened to the public. The 128-meter-high wheel offers 360-degree views of Qianhai Bay and the Pearl River estuary. By 3:30 p.m. yesterday, nearly 9,000 people had bought tickets to ride the wheel.  (Story on P3)
