Japanese documentary director Ryo Takeuchi speaks at a ceremony at Shenzhen Book City CBD Store in Futian District on Sunday to launch his new book “The Reasons I Live Here.” The director, who is living in China, rose to fame in 2020 for his hit documentary series “Nanjing’s Anti-epidemic Scene” and “Long Time No See, Wuhan,” which captured how Chinese responded to and recovered from the COVID-19 epidemic.
