Dawang, Liantang areas to have shuttle bus service
    2021-05-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

LUOHU District will pilot shuttle buses connecting Metro stations in the Dawang and Liantang areas to strengthen the transportation accessibility there, sources from the Luohu Administration of the Shenzhen Municipal Transport Bureau said.

The move is also aimed at relieving traffic congestion and making public transport more accessible to citizens, as obvious increases in tourist flows are seen in scenic spots such as Wutong Mountain and Fairy Lake Botanical Garden during holidays. Citizens are expected to wave to get on the shuttle buses, and press a bell to get off the buses.

According to the Luohu administration, an action plan for traffic order in Luohu District for the year 2021 has been issued recently, in which a number of measures have been proposed to enhance public transport services and optimize road traffic.

With the opening of Metro Line 2 Phase III, Metro Line 8 Phase I and Guowei Road, the bus network in the Liantang area will be further optimized, said the administration.

The administration will also join forces with subdistrict offices to build two mechanical parking systems in the district.

Additionally, Luohu traffic police will take the lead in promoting a reservation mode for car parking in the Dawang area during holidays, to improve coordination between citizens’ travel demands and enhanced traffic order in tourist attractions.
