CHINESE-LANGUAGE learners now can go to Shenzhen MSU-BIT University (SMBU) Chinese Test Center, that was officially inaugurated Wednesday, in Longgang District to take Chinese tests.

SMBU became the fourth Chinese Test Center in Shenzhen.

The four Chinese tests the center provides are the Chinese Proficiency Test (HSK), the HSK Speaking Test (HSKK), the Business Chinese Test (BCT) and the Youth Chinese Test (YCT).

The test center will hold its first HSK test this Saturday, said SMBU on Thursday.

At the test center inauguration ceremony held Wednesday, Li Hezhang, rector of SMBU, said since 2017, the university has set up lessons on teaching Chinese as a foreign language to aid international students in using Chinese language for cross-cultural communication.

Li mentioned that SMBU’s Chinese Test Center will provide professional Chinese tests and training services for foreign students and others to help boost high-quality development for Chinese-language education and deepen education cooperation between China and Russia.

Zhao Guocheng, deputy head of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC), valued SMBU’s role in promoting Chinese culture and language in Russian speaking countries and countries along the Belt and Road at the ceremony.

Sergey Shakhray, first vice rector of SMBU, looked forward to more cooperation between SMBU and CLEC in aspects relating to Chinese-language teaching and training and hoped to develop the test center into an important language center for those at home and abroad.
