Anish Kapoor’s works

Anish Kapoor, one of the most distinguished contemporary artists in the world, is presenting a selection of key works he has created over the past 40 years at an exhibition (168 yuan) until July 4. Models of his past intriguing public art works and architectural projects are also on display.

Cleo Chamber Orchestra will play Prokofiev’s “Peter and the Wolf,” Saint-Saens’ “The Carnival of the Animals,” Rimsky-Korsakov’s “Flight of the Bumblebee,” Zequinha de Abreu’s “Tico-Tico No Farelo,” the “four cygnettes” part of Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake,” part of Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons” and a few Chinese and Western folk songs.

‘Spring Awakening’

A Chinese version of the Broadway musical “Spring Awakening” will be staged this weekend. The musical tells the story of a group of teenagers discovering the inner and outer tumults of adolescent sexuality. In the musical, alternative rock is employed as part of the folk-infused rock score.

Jupiter Museum of Art

French photographer Stéphane Couturier is exhibiting his works at the “Melting Point” exhibition (99 yuan) until June 20. Couturier specializes in large-scale images of factories, cities and urban landscapes. Chinese artists Qin Lingsen and Xing Gang are also exhibiting their contemporary artworks.
