China’s largest self-designed oil rig in place
    2021-05-20  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A scene of China’s largest self-designed oil rig — Lufeng 14-4 — at the South China Sea. The installation of the rig, constructed by the Shenzhen company of China National Offshore Oil Corp., was completed Tuesday. About 240 kilometers southeast of Shenzhen, the rig is around 218 meters in height with 145 meters submerged in the water. The total weight of the rig is 30,000 tons, three times the weight of Eiffel Tower. It will be put into production before the end of this year.   (More on P8)             Sun Yuchen
