AN online job fair, featuring emerging industries, was recently held to advertise 550 open positions for college graduates, sources from the Shenzhen Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau said.

The job fair, which will run until the end of May, has attracted 80 enterprises who are looking for employees to fill their posts. The participants include Huawei, ZTE, Dongjiang Environment, Hytera, Grenelec, CNNC Shenzhen Kaili Group and Transsion.

The positions in high demand include hardware engineers, electric engineers, craft engineers, environment protection engineers, structure engineers, test engineers, trade clerks, project managers and other professionals in sales, administration, law, marketing, human resources, accounting, branding, interpreting and data analysts.

In terms of salaries, about 30 percent of the posts offer salaries between 6,000 yuan (US$936) and 8,000 yuan, and 30.7 percent of the posts offer salaries ranging from 8,000 yuan to 15,000 yuan. Posts with salaries above 15,000 yuan take up 10.3 percent and the rest take 27.2 percent.

Between June and November, the city will hold six job fairs, one each month, targeting different fields, namely housing estate, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, cultural industries and intelligent manufacturing, and will hold one fair specifically targeting graduates with master’s or doctorate degrees.
