‘Voice of Shenzhen’

From cruise ships’ whistles in Shekou Port to birds’ humming in Huanggang Park, from keyboard typing sounds in an office in Shenzhen Hi-tech Park to the sound of sea waves in Dameisha, visitors can now listen to various sounds recorded in Shenzhen at the “Voice of Shenzhen” exhibition running until Aug. 15.

Sea World

The “Fashioned From Nature” exhibition (98 yuan), together with a Chinese section, “Fashioned From Nature in China: Then and Now,” presents nearly 400 garments and accessories. The exhibition, running until July 4, showcases items from the V&A’s and the China National Silk Museum’s collections as well as international loans. “Values of Design: China in the Making” (68 yuan) is Design Society’s permanent exhibition exploring the growing field of Chinese design. The “Vibrating Clouds” exhibition, running until July 18, displays installations, books and videos to show how designers respond to climate change.
