The district has made it to China’s ranking of top 100 counties and cities with the most prosperous night economy jointly compiled by national authorities and professional institutions. Luohu is Shenzhen’s only urban area on the list. Night economy refers to economic activities that occur from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., including dining, nightlife, arts, music, theater, entertainment, festivals, events, activities and tourist attractions.
