Falling pan hits car in typhoon
    2021-08-11  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A LONGGANG District resident surnamed Luo had his vehicle damaged by an iron pan falling from a height in a typhoon day. Fortunately, no casualty or injury was reported, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported.

According to the police, the pan fell from a fourth-floor balcony of a residential building. The pan’s owner placed it by the balcony railing and did not pay attention to the ongoing typhoon which blew the pan off onto Luo’s car.

After the police’s mediation, the owner of the pan agreed to a compensation of 3,000 yuan (US$463) to Luo.

Police advise residents to take care of loose items on balconies and windows like flowerpots and hangers during bad weather to avoid damage or casualties.  (Chen Siqi)
