Nucleic acid testing

SHENZHEN has increased its nucleic acid testing sites for arrivals from outside of the city, including those from medium- and high-risk areas for COVID-19, to 120 locations, the city’s health commission said yesterday. The service is free of charge.

Citizens can inquire about the locations of the testing sites on the commission’s WeChat account “szwjwwx” (深圳卫健委) by clicking the sections “便民服务” and “免费核酸检测点查询.”

Arrivals from domestic medium- and high-risk areas who book into local hotels are also required to have their health codes checked and provide negative nucleic acid test results issued within 48 hours.

At present, there are more than 200 medium- and high-risk areas in the country.

Service circle

LONGGANG District has built a 10-minute culture and sports service circle with which residents can easily access sports facilities near their homes.

To build the circle, Longgang constructed new culture and sports facilities covering nearly 500,000 square meters, built over 30 community leisure squares and added more than 600 small-sized facilities inside residential communities, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported.

Blockchain invoices

SHENZHEN has so far issued over 58 million blockchain-based invoices, with an accumulated total face value of nearly 80 billion yuan (US$12.35 billion) for transactions covering over 100 sectors.

On average, 120,000 invoices are issued daily, according to the city’s taxation authority. The country’s first blockchain-based invoice was issued in Shenzhen in 2018.

Social security card

AS Shenzhen will use the unified national social security information platform starting Aug. 17, the first-generation social security IC cards will be voided on the same day, according to the city’s social security fund management bureau.

New hospital

SHENZHEN Xinhua Hospital near Hongshan Metro Station in Longhua District is expected to be completed in September 2023, Shenzhen Special Zone Daily reported.

The hospital with a 12,000-sqaure-meter hanging garden is rated as a Grade 3A hospital, the highest of China’s three-tier grading system for public hospitals.
