Landscape renovation to be finished by year end
    2021-08-12  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

THE landscape renovation project at Kuichong River in Dapeng New Area will be finished by the end of the year.

Kuichong River and Kuichong Riverside Park are expected to be Dapeng’s new “living room,” Shenzhen Economic Daily reported.

Kuichong River is a branch of the Dapeng Bay river system and runs through seven out of nine communities in Kuichong.

The renovation project kicked off in April 2020 and includes features such as flood prevention, water quality improvement and ecological conservation.

The ongoing project is 85 percent completed as of now. The renovation of core areas has been finished and is expected to meet acceptance standards in September this year.

The project focuses on Kuichong River’s trunk stream flowing from Jinkui Road East to Shayuchong Estuary. The project covers a 3.2-kilometer river course and a landscape area of 224,000 square meters.

Additionally, the project highlights rich red culture resources in Kuichong. Bridge railings, walls and building facades will be used to tell Kuichong’s revolutionary stories from 1937 to 1946.
