New tourism resort to open in Dapeng
    2021-08-18  08:53    Shenzhen Daily

A COASTAL tourism resort, Kaisa International Resort, is scheduled to open Sept. 2 in Golden Bay, Dapeng New Area, the group announced Monday. The project is said to be the largest one of its kind in Shenzhen.

The resort’s Water World and Kids World will open to the public Sept. 2. The other three pavilions, namely Mars World, Ocean World and Ice-snow World, will welcome visitors in the near future.

The resort was built with an investment of 30 billion yuan (US$4.6 billion) from Kaisa and Funde Sino Life. It covers an area of approximately 1.5 million square meters with the five themed pavilions and almost 20 leisure programs, including international luxury resort hotels, leisure parks, shopping street, performing arts, international cuisines, health and fitness and water sports.

Over 100 high-end entertainment facilities have been introduced in the five themed pavilions, such as an aerospace exploration sightseeing tower, an underground theater with a 360-degree view and an acrylic dome under the sea.

Additionally, the resort has created an original story, “Legend of Kun,” combining Dapeng’s local cultural characteristics. The story connecting the resorts’ parts will create a unique resort brand and impressive vacation experience.

A ticket for Water World is priced at 178 yuan for weekdays and 198 yuan for weekends and holidays. For Kids World, the weekday ticket price is 118 yuan and the weekend and holiday price is 138 yuan.

An early-bird discount of “buy one get one free” will be available from Sept. 2 to 5. Tickets are currently sold on platforms, including the resort official website and WeChat miniprogram and tourism agencies.

It is estimated that the resort will attract 5 million visitors a year, contribute over 10 billion yuan to the local GDP and provide over 30,000 jobs.  (Xia Yuanjie)
